This past week an a half has been a particularly trying one. A family who bought a puppy from us just a little over a year ago passed away. Charlotte ate a bee, and had an immediate allergic reaction to it. She passed within a half hour. I guess the reason I am writing this is so that other owners are aware of just another thing that is out there that can hurt our beloved pets. I don’t know if everyone has a pet that likes to chase after bee, or flies, or butterflies, but these things can very easily hurt your pets. We recently had our cat Bliss get sick from eating a fly, and she soon stopped eating and began vomiting. This doesn’t just apply to dog owners but to breeders as well. I recently through, Charlotte’s passing learned that there is an Epi-Pen for dogs. We need to watch our animals closely especially during the summer months because the Cavalier is a very curious dog. Just this last winter I posted about Chloe who died from eating poisonous mushrooms. I hope everyone really reads the blogs I post on here. I don’t just do it for my benefit, but the more I learn the more I like to share to prevent any further heartache. Charlotte was so loved, she was so beautiful. She was the absolute spitting image of her momma Olive. I want to say to Charlotte’s family, I am so sorry for your loss. Hopefully we can prevent any further loses with a bit more awareness.
